What is the difference between ★ and ☆?
★ is the black star character and ☆ is the white star character. Both are Unicode text symbols, so their exact appearance depends on the font being used.
What is the difference between ✦ and ✧?
✦ is a filled four-point star and ✧ is its lighter outlined counterpart. Both are commonly used as aesthetic sparkle symbols in bios and captions.
Are star symbols the same as star emoji?
No. Text stars such as ★, ☆, ✦ and ✧ usually follow the surrounding font, while emoji such as ⭐ and 🌟 are typically rendered as colored platform-specific artwork.
