This policy describes the privacy framework intended for AestheticFont. The actual website configuration must match it. Before enabling Google Analytics or Google AdSense, configure the consent-management, U.S. state privacy and retention settings described in the deployment checklist supplied with this page.
Privacy Policy
1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to AestheticFont.org ("AestheticFont," "we," "us," or "our") and describes how information may be collected, used, disclosed, stored or otherwise processed when you visit or use the website. AestheticFont provides browser-based aesthetic text, symbol, bio, username and related creative tools.
Privacy obligations vary by country, state, service and business size. A right or obligation described below applies when the relevant law applies to our processing. We may also choose to honor certain privacy choices voluntarily even when a particular law does not require us to do so.
2. Data controller / business
For personal data processed for AestheticFont's own purposes, the operator of AestheticFont.org is the controller or business responsible for that processing, unless a different role is stated for a specific service. Third-party providers such as Google may act as independent controllers, processors, service providers or contractors depending on the product, configuration, jurisdiction and processing purpose.
Privacy requests can be made using the contact method published on our Contact page. Before publishing this website, the site operator should ensure that page provides a working privacy-contact method.
3. Browser-based tool processing
The core AestheticFont text transformations are designed to run locally in your web browser. Text entered into the core generator does not need to be transmitted to our server for the transformation itself to work. Unless a feature clearly states otherwise, we do not intentionally use generator text to build a profile about you or store it in an AestheticFont user account.
When you use a Copy button, your browser's clipboard functionality is used to place the selected text on your device clipboard. The tool does not need to read unrelated clipboard content.
Please do not enter passwords, payment-card details, government identifiers, health information, precise location information, or other highly sensitive personal information into generator fields.
4. Information we may collect
Information you provide
If you contact us, send feedback, report a problem or submit a privacy request, we may receive information such as your name, email address, message, jurisdiction and any information you choose to provide.
Technical and usage information
Our hosting, security, analytics, consent-management or advertising providers may process technical or usage information such as IP address, browser and device information, operating system, language, referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps, approximate location inferred from IP address, cookie or device identifiers, consent signals, ad interactions and website performance information.
Local browser storage
We may use localStorage or similar browser storage for site functionality, such as remembering a light/dark theme preference. Data stored only in local browser storage generally remains on your device until you clear it, your browser removes it, or the site changes or deletes the stored value.
5. California notice at collection
Depending on which optional services are enabled, we may process the following categories of personal information:
| Category | Examples | Purposes | Typical retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | IP address, cookie/client identifiers, contact email | Security, analytics, consent, advertising, support | Varies by provider and purpose |
| Internet/network activity | Pages viewed, referring page, interactions, timestamps | Site operation, measurement, troubleshooting, ads | Varies by provider and configured retention |
| Approximate geolocation | Country, region or city inferred from IP | Analytics, fraud prevention, regional compliance, contextual ads | Varies by provider |
| Communications | Messages sent to us | Support, legal compliance, privacy requests | As long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and meet legal needs |
| Preferences / consent data | Theme choice, consent or opt-out status | Remembering choices and complying with privacy requirements | Until changed, expired or cleared, subject to provider settings |
We do not intend to collect sensitive personal information through the core tools. We do not offer a financial incentive or loyalty program in exchange for personal information. If that changes, we will provide any additional notice required by law.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, web beacons and similar technologies can store or access information on a device, remember preferences, measure usage, help prevent fraud and support advertising. Some technologies are essential or strictly necessary for a requested service; others are optional and may require consent depending on your location.
Where consent is legally required, non-essential analytics or advertising technologies should not be activated until the required choice has been obtained. You can usually change your choice using the site's consent or privacy controls and you can also manage cookies through your browser.
Typical technology categories
| Category | Purpose | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary / functional | Security, site delivery, consent state, requested preferences such as theme | May operate without optional consent where legally permitted |
| Analytics | Measure traffic, usage and performance | Consent may be required in the EEA/UK and other jurisdictions |
| Advertising | Serve, measure, cap frequency and, where permitted, personalize ads | Consent or opt-out controls may be required depending on jurisdiction and use |
7. Google Analytics
If enabled, we may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use AestheticFont. A default GA4 implementation can collect information such as user/session statistics, approximate geolocation, browser and device information, and site interactions. When analytics storage is permitted, Google Analytics may use first-party cookies such as _ga to distinguish users and sessions.
Google states that Google Analytics does not log or store individual raw IP addresses in Analytics. IP addresses may be used transiently for functions such as coarse geolocation and then discarded according to Google's processing design.
Where required, Analytics should receive and respect consent signals through a consent-management solution and Google Consent Mode. If analytics consent is denied, the behavior of Google tags depends on the Consent Mode implementation and configuration.
GA4 standard properties allow user-level/event retention settings such as 2 or 14 months for certain data. The site operator should configure the shortest period reasonably needed and ensure the configured setting matches this policy and business needs.
For information about Google's privacy practices, visit Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
8. Google AdSense and advertising
If advertising is enabled, we may use Google AdSense and Google-certified advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or other identifiers as a result of ad serving on AestheticFont.
Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a user's visit to AestheticFont and/or other websites. Depending on the user's location, consent choices and our settings, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, contextual or served under restricted data processing.
Other Google-certified third-party vendors or ad networks may also participate in ad delivery. The vendors available to a particular user may be shown through the consent-management platform. Their own privacy policies explain their processing and opt-out choices.
Users can manage certain Google advertising personalization choices through Google My Ad Center. Users can also learn about industry advertising opt-outs at AboutAds, where available.
Non-personalized ads can still use cookies or local storage for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, fraud prevention or invalid-traffic detection. Accordingly, "non-personalized" does not necessarily mean "cookie-free."
9. Google consent requirements — EEA, UK and Switzerland
When Google AdSense is used for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google requires publishers serving personalized ads to use a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) integrated with the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF). We may use Google's Privacy & messaging CMP or another Google-certified CMP.
The consent interface may identify participating ad technology providers and request choices regarding cookies/local storage, personalized advertising, measurement and related processing. Where legally required, consent must be freely given, specific, informed and indicated by a clear affirmative action. Users must be able to reject or withdraw optional consent without being forced to accept it simply by continuing to browse.
Google Consent Mode may be used so Google Analytics and advertising tags can respond to consent choices. The precise behavior depends on whether Basic or Advanced Consent Mode and other Google settings are configured.
10. How we use information
Subject to applicable law and user choices, we may use information to:
- provide, operate and maintain AestheticFont;
- remember requested preferences;
- secure the website, prevent abuse, fraud and invalid traffic, and troubleshoot errors;
- measure traffic, usage and performance;
- improve tools, content, navigation and accessibility;
- respond to messages and privacy requests;
- serve and measure advertising and, where permitted, personalize ads;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms; and
- protect our users, rights, property and services.
11. GDPR / UK GDPR legal bases
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or another law requires a legal basis, our processing may rely on one or more of the following, depending on the activity:
- Consent: for optional analytics, advertising cookies, personalization or similar processing where consent is required. Consent can be withdrawn for future processing.
- Legitimate interests: for proportionate activities such as security, fraud prevention, basic website operation, debugging and service improvement when those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Performance of a contract / steps at your request: when necessary to provide a requested service or respond to a request you initiate.
- Legal obligation: when processing is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation or valid legal process.
Where optional cookies require consent under the ePrivacy rules or UK PECR, we rely on the required consent before storing or accessing non-essential information on the device, unless a legal exemption applies.
12. How information may be disclosed
We may disclose information to service providers and partners that help us operate the website, including hosting, content-delivery, security, analytics, consent-management and advertising providers; when required by law or valid legal process; to protect rights, safety and security; or as part of a legitimate business transaction such as a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of assets.
Third-party providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Their role and collection can vary according to product settings, region and user choices.
13. Sale, sharing and targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information for money in the ordinary meaning of "sell." However, some U.S. privacy laws define sale, sharing or targeted advertising broadly. In California, disclosures of identifiers or online activity for cross-context behavioral advertising may constitute "sharing" even where no money changes hands.
If our advertising configuration constitutes sale, sharing or targeted advertising under a law that applies to us, eligible users may opt out through the privacy controls we make available, through a recognized opt-out preference signal where legally required, or through another method described in this policy.
14. California privacy rights — CCPA / CPRA
If you are a California resident and the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), applies to us, you may have the following rights, subject to statutory exceptions:
- Right to know/access: request categories and/or specific pieces of personal information, sources, business purposes and categories of recipients.
- Right to delete: request deletion of personal information collected from you.
- Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing: direct a covered business not to sell or share personal information, including through a qualifying opt-out preference signal.
- Right to limit certain uses/disclosures of sensitive personal information: where the business uses sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right.
- Right to non-discrimination: not receive unlawful discriminatory treatment for exercising CCPA rights.
You may use an authorized agent where permitted by California law. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify certain rights requests or an agent's authority. If AestheticFont operates exclusively online, California rules may permit an online/email request method rather than a toll-free number; the operator should keep the published request method current and usable.
California categories disclosed for business purposes or advertising
Depending on enabled providers and user choices, identifiers, internet/network activity, approximate geolocation and consent/ad interaction data may be disclosed to hosting, security, analytics, consent-management and advertising providers for the purposes described above. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 without the authorization required by California law.
15. Global Privacy Control (GPC) and opt-out preference signals
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser/device signal that can communicate a request to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. Where California or another applicable law requires recognition of a valid GPC or qualifying opt-out preference signal, we will treat it as an opt-out request for the browser/device sending the signal, subject to applicable law.
For applicable U.S. state traffic, Google AdSense can receive GPC signals and apply restricted data processing to relevant ad requests. Our own consent/privacy configuration should also be set to respect applicable opt-out signals. A traditional "Do Not Track" signal is different from GPC and does not have the same legally defined treatment.
16. Other U.S. state privacy rights
Residents of other U.S. states may have rights under comprehensive state privacy laws, depending on the law and whether it applies to AestheticFont. These can include rights to access, confirm processing, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of data, opt out of targeted advertising, sale or certain profiling, and appeal a denied request.
Where a qualifying universal opt-out mechanism or Global Privacy Platform (GPP) signal is required or supported, our advertising and consent configuration may use those signals to communicate user choices to participating partners.
17. EEA / GDPR and UK GDPR rights
If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to our processing, you may have rights to:
- receive information about how personal data is processed;
- access personal data concerning you;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- request erasure where the legal conditions are met;
- restrict processing in certain circumstances;
- receive certain data in a portable, machine-readable format;
- object to certain processing, including direct marketing and some legitimate-interest processing;
- withdraw consent at any time for future processing where consent is the legal basis; and
- lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority.
Applicable GDPR requests are generally handled without undue delay and, in principle, within one month, subject to lawful extensions and identity verification where permitted.
18. Automated decision-making and profiling
AestheticFont's core generator transforms text and does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about users. We do not currently intend to use automated decision-making technology to determine eligibility for employment, housing, credit, education, insurance, healthcare or other similarly significant services. Advertising partners may use automated systems to select or measure ads subject to their policies, user choices and applicable law.
19. Data retention
We aim to keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including security, support, legal compliance and dispute resolution. Retention differs by data type and provider. Local browser preferences remain subject to your browser controls.
If GA4 is enabled, its user-level/event retention should be deliberately configured (for standard properties, Google provides settings such as 2 or 14 months for certain data). Aggregated reporting may be retained differently by Google. Advertising and consent providers maintain their own retention settings and policies.
20. International data transfers
AestheticFont may be accessed globally, and our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or another law requires safeguards for restricted transfers, the relevant controller or processor should use a valid transfer mechanism such as an adequacy decision, approved contractual clauses or another lawful safeguard as applicable.
21. Children's privacy
AestheticFont is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13 through the core tools. Google Publisher Policies prohibit personalized advertising based on the past or current activity of users known to be under 13 or on child-directed content. If we learn that personal information was collected from a child in a manner requiring deletion or parental authorization, we will take appropriate steps.
Where a jurisdiction sets a higher age for valid consent to certain online processing, we will apply the requirements that are legally applicable to the service and processing involved.
22. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect the website and information under our control. No method of internet transmission, browser storage or electronic storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
23. Your privacy choices
Depending on your location and the services enabled, you may be able to:
- accept, reject or modify optional cookie, analytics and advertising choices through the site's consent-management interface;
- use a supported browser or extension that sends Global Privacy Control where legally applicable;
- clear cookies, local storage and site data through your browser;
- block or limit cookies through browser settings, understanding that some functionality may be affected;
- manage Google ad personalization through My Ad Center;
- use available industry advertising opt-out tools; and
- submit a privacy-rights request using our published contact method.
If AestheticFont's actual advertising setup triggers a legal requirement to provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information," "Your Privacy Choices," or similar link, the operator must add a clear, conspicuous and functional link in the site header or footer and connect it to the CMP/opt-out mechanism. A policy section alone does not complete that technical requirement.
24. How to exercise privacy rights
Use the privacy/contact method published on our Contact page and identify the right you want to exercise and your jurisdiction. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify identity or authority, while avoiding unnecessary collection.
Where required, we will respond within the timeframe provided by applicable law. If a state law provides a right to appeal a denial, the response will explain how to appeal. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
25. Third-party links and services
AestheticFont may link to social networks, websites or services that we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies and settings. Opening a third-party link may allow that third party to process information independently of AestheticFont.
26. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our tools, providers, legal obligations or privacy practices change. The "Last updated" date shows the current published version. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain new consent before materially different processing begins.
27. Contact
For privacy questions or applicable rights requests, use the method published on our Contact page. The site operator should maintain a working privacy-contact channel and update this policy if that contact information changes.
A privacy policy cannot by itself make a site compliant. Consent banners, Google Consent Mode, AdSense Privacy & messaging, U.S. state settings, GPC handling, vendor lists, cookie behavior, analytics retention and contact methods must be configured so the live site matches the disclosures above.
